*Photo from the Raleigh News and Observer* Forward Martin Necas and the Carolina Hurricanes have agreed to a two year, $13 million contract, according to an announcement by the team. Necas came into the offseason as an RFA with arbitration rights, and a hearing was scheduled to determine a contract for next season. He had been the subject of trade rumors all offseason to this point, but he'll be in Raleigh for another two years. He'll make $6.5 million annually for the next two seasons and can become a UFA after the 2025-2026 season. Last season was another successful year for Necas. He ended the season with 24 goals and 29 assists for 53 points, posting a -9 rating while averaging 17:21 of ice time per game across 77 regular season games. He added 4 goals and 5 assists in 11 playoff games.
