*Photo from Arizona Sports*     After losing their 3 goalies from last season to free agency and a trade, in the case of Alex Nedeljkovic, the Carolina Hurricanes needed a goalie partner for new signing Frederik Andersen. The Hurricanes have signed G Antti Raanta to a two year, $4 million contract, with a $2 million AAV, according to the team.    Hurricanes GM Don Waddell was happy about signing Raanta, saying that "Antti Raanta, his track record, if you look at his numbers, he's got unbelievable numbers. He's run into some injuries the last few years. We went through the whole process, as we do with every player that we sign. We really feel that with the right training, which he's doing now, and working with our team here, that if he can stay healthy, if you go back and look at them for five or six years, his numbers are outstanding."    Waddell also said of the new goalie tandem for the Hurricanes that "We felt very comfortable with making that ...

There were some good forwards available in free agency that we liked that we would've turned to had we not completed the trade with Ottawa. Our priority was this player, and we were happy to add him. I think he's going to fit in very well."    Entering this season, Dadonov will be on the second of a 3 year deal he signed with the Senators during free agency last summer. Dadonov has a modified no trade clause, and is set to make $5 million this season from the Golden Knights, who are currently cap strapped.
