This team loves playing in Philly. James van Riemsdyk had a goal and two assists, David Pastrnak had two goals and an assist, and the Boston Bruins rolled over the Philadelphia Flyers with a 6-2 victory on Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia.

The Bruins rode 4 first period goals in just over 4 minutes to win their second straight game and 7th of 8 heading into their bye week and all star break, jumping to the top of the league standings at 31-9-9. Pavel Zacha and Charlie McAvoy also contributed with multi point games for the Bruins.

Bruins forward Charlie Coyle said of the run of wins "That's what you want in that last game. You know what's right around the corner, but you make sure we focus, do all the right things, create our good habits still. You feel much better going into a break when you have a solid game. You win like that, you get to enjoy your break a little more."

Pastrnak started the scoring 14:09 into the game, making it 1-0 Bruins on his 32nd goal of the season. van Riemsdyk and Zacha assisted on McAvoy's 7th goal of the season to make it 2-0. Danton Heinen then scored to make it 3-0 before Pastrnak's second goal of the game and 33rd of the season made it 4-0 Bruins after one period.

Just 1:15 into the second period, van Riemsdyk scored his 8th goal of the season to make it 5-0 with Pastrnak and Hampus Lindholm assisting. Tyson Foerster then scored for the Flyers to make it 5-1. Foerster scored again in the 3rd period to make it a 5-2 game before Coyle got assists from van Riemsdyk and Trent Frederic on his 18th goal of the season, making it a 6-2 final.

It was Linus Ullmark who started between the pipes for the Bruins, getting the win to improve to 15-6-2 in 23 starts. Ullmark stopped 35 of the 37 shots he was tested with by the Flyers, good for a .946 save percentage.

Getting the start for the Flyers was Samuel Ersson, who dropped to 12-9-3 with the loss. Ersson made just 10 saves on 14 shots before he was pulled after the first period. Cal Petersen came on after that and made 12 saves on 14 shots over the final two periods.

Philadelphia head coach John Tortorella said "We've lost ourselves a little bit here. I think we've lost confidence offensively, although I thought we generated some offense today. That's how the League works sometimes, you have some good weeks and you have some struggles. We're having some struggles now. We've just got to try to put our head down and see if we can solve some problems and get better."

Both teams resume play after the all star game on February 6. The Flyers hit the road to take on the Florida Panthers, while the Bruins head home and welcome the Calgary Flames to town.
