Vegas leads series 3-2
Now this series is getting interesting. Thomas Harley had two assists, Ty Dellandrea scored twice, and the Dallas Stars defeated the Vegas Golden Knights with a 4-2 victory on Saturday night in Vegas.

The Stars have now won two straight games with their season on the line, forcing a game 6 in the series after trailing 3-0. Harley and Dellandrea led the way on the scoresheet, with Dellandrea recording his first multi goal game in the NHL after being healthy scratched to start the series.

Dellandrea said of his two goal game that he has "Just been trying to shoot it. I had an opportunity last game that I really thought I should have capitalized on, and I've been getting chances. So, to be able to put in one tonight felt good and contribute in that department."

It was the Golden Knights who started the scoring in this one. Ivan Barbashev gave them a 1-0 lead with his 6th goal of the playoffs 13:36 into the game. A few minutes later, Luke Glendening scored the equalizer for the Stars, tying the score 1-1 on his second goal of the playoffs, with the lone assist going to Harley.

Early in the second period, Vegas got the lead back. Chandler Stephenson scored 3:20 into the period, making it 2-1 Vegas with Shea Theodore and Jonathan Marchessault assisting. 5:29 into the second, Jason Robertson retied the game for the Stars, getting assists from Joe Pavelski and Ryan Suter to make it a 2-2 game.

The 3rd period saw the Stars take the lead for good. Dellandrea scored 10:35 into the 3rd, giving the Stars a 3-2 lead on his second goal of the playoffs, assisted by Harley and Joel Kiviranta. Dellandrea then scored again just 1:27 after, making it 4-2 Stars on his second goal of the night, assisted by Max Domi.

Dallas head coach Pete Deboer said "That's our group. Next man up. We got contributions from everyone. Gutsy, gutsy win being down a couple of guys, coming in here, and we talked about taking a bite out of the elephant. We did tonight. We got a couple bites to go, but I like our group. I wouldn't bet against them."

Getting the start in goal for the Stars was Jake Oettinger, who turned in another strong game in between the pipes. Oettinger made 27 saves on the 29 shots he saw from the Golden Knights, good for a .931 save percentage.

It was Adin Hill in goal again for the Golden Knights, losing his second straight game of the series. Hill stopped 30 out of the 34 shots on goal he was tested with by the Stars, recording a .882 save percentage in the loss.

Vegas defenseman Alec Martinez said of the loss that "I don't think we played a full 60 minutes. There were a lot of different things. They were hungrier. They won their battles. We're playing a desperate hockey team, and no one said it would be easy. We have to match their urgency and desperation."

Up next, the series goes back to Dallas for game 6, set for Monday night. Vegas will once again try to close out the series, while the Stars need to win to tie the series and force a game 7.
