Another part of the offense in Calgary is back in the fold. The Calgary Flames and C Dillon Dube have agreed to a 3 year, $6.9 million deal, with a $2.3 million AAV, according to a release from the team. The RFA is now officially back in Calgary, but will still be an RFA when his deal expires.

In his 3rd NHL season last year, Dube put up his most productive season yet, scoring 11 goals and dealing out 11 assists, with a -1 plus/minus in an ATOI of 13:38, playing in 51 regular season games, missing some time due to an upper body injury. The Flames failed to make the playoffs last season.

Dube said of his deal that "I knew it was going to get done. It was pretty easy for me being here, being around the guys. I'm really happy to get it done before camp, now I can kind of focus, take that next step. It's weighing on you a little bit over the offseason. Have a little bit longer term, feel a part of it, really dig in now and look to make those the best three years and help the team win and be a big part of it."

In his 3 seasons, Dube, a second round pick in 2016, has 18 goals and 25 assists to his name, with a +1 plus/minus in his career, with an ATOI of 12:33, playing in 121 regular season games. In 10 career playoff games, Dube has 4 goals and one assist. Last season was the first time he has missed the playoffs in his career.

With Dube back in the fold, the Flames have all but one RFA with a new contract. Left shot D Connor Mackey is the one player without a contract, but the Flames have around $3 million in cap space to work with, so they should be able to work something out.
